Time for a new update

Where to start? First, in December 2006, CCAA notified all the agencies of their new regulations. While some of these are for the good of the children it will unfortunately eliminate some people from being accepted into the China adoption program. Luckily, not only are we not one of these people but since we have already been logged-in the new regulations wouldn't apply to us.

Referrals came in this week and they included expedited referrals through the month of March. We still don't have confirmation that we have been expedited but I trust our agency. If it starts to look like we weren't I will have our agency double check for us and get the problem fixed. Unfortunately, there are sometimes no rhyme or reason (that we can figure out) for the decisions made by CCAA.

If expedited referrals keep coming in at the same rate, we could have our referral by June. That would be traveling to China sometime in August. It will be incredibly hot and humid!

It's a nice thought to think that THIS year we will have a new baby. Kathryn is keeping us very busy so the time is going by very quickly.

Our Christmas letter this year will hold quite a bit of news and information! I can't wait to read it! :)
