Getting ready....

We officially received word that our dossier was mailed to China on June 27th. We are still waiting to here what our LID is. I'm hoping that it will be within a week of our DTC date. In the meantime, we have been busy redoing the guest room and turning it into Kathryn's new bedroom. We have painted it a "Vintage Violet". I made a new daisy valance and bought white lace sheers with a garden trellis design. This last weekend I found several paintings at a local event that went perfect in the room (butterflies in a garden) and we bought all the closet organization things we wanted. Kathryn is already enjoying her new room. Little does she know that she is being kicked out her old room by her new sister or brother. :) We will "officially" move her into the room in January but in the meantime she loves to play in there since that's where the majority of her toys are now. We want to make sure that she is moved in and adjusted before the new baby takes over her nursery.

There's still some preparations to do. We would like to finish painting the rest of the inside of the house by fall. We are still deciding on a girl's name. We have been through several trial runs. The one that we are trying now seems to be sticking. We have a camping trip next week and maybe one more weekend getaway. Also, my Grandmother may be coming to visit for a couple of weeks. Time is certainly moving faster this time around. It's already been almost a month since DTC!

I probably won't turn my attentions toward planing our trip and getting ready to pack until after we receive our referral, which may not be until April 2007. In the meantime, we will enjoy our alone time with Kathryn. She's so much fun!
