Final post from China

The bags are all packed except for the sundry items that we will need tomorrow morning. Simon will be picking us up at 5:40 AM tomorrow morning to take another family and ourselves to the airport. That means wake up around 4 AM. It will be a loooong day, literally. Our flight is scheduled to leave at 8:30 AM Wednesday. After switching planes in Tokyo, we are scheduled to land in Seattle at 7:05 AM on Wednesday <-- this was not mistyped. Due to the International Date Line, we end up landing before we take-off when looking at local times! Actual elapsed time will be about 20 hours. Pray for us on this long journey with two wiggly kids!

Besides the all-important task of packing, the main agenda for today was to go to the U.S. Consulate office for adoptions to swear to the truthfulness and accuracy of our submitted paperwork, and after that, to receive Kimberly's Chinese passport with her U.S. entry visa and the important, sealed, brown immigration packet. The latter will be turned over to U.S. immigration when we land in Seattle. Here is Mom, Kathryn and Kimberly in the Swan Room (playroom) for the last time. Kathryn was distracted by the Chinese language version of "The Lion King" that was playing on the TV.
